Odessa Kennels is located on 10 acres, in the heart of the Waikato,
dairying capital of the world, just 5 km to the south, of Hamilton. The
Waikato is also home to some of the finest Horseflesh in Australasia,
representing, Flat and Harness Racing and also Eventing and
Dressage. The world famous Cambridge Stud, resting place of
Sir Tristram and home of his son Zabeal, is just 5 minutes away,
and top NZ pacer Homin Hosed lives on the back boundary.



Hamilton is centrally placed towards the top of the North Island, and
is within an hour or so of Auckland, Rotorua, Taupo, Tauranga and
Coromandel. We are very fortunate to have a large stock of Upland
game on our doorstep, with deer and pig also within very easy reach.


German Shorthair's have dominated our lives for almost 20 years and in
that time we have been grateful for the help from other GSP breeders,
especially Vera Pointon (Papakura) and Anne Raymond (Adelaide).



Sadly on March 30th 2002 Odessa lost their greatest mentor in
Michael George.
His endless love and devotion to the dogs being instrumental
in what Odessa is today.

Odessa breeds one or two litters a year,
visitors are welcome to visit and meet the dogs by arrangement.
